Vocals

Meghan McKown Equally at home in jazz, blues, classical and rock,  Meghan McKown brings her own fresh approach to everything she sings. Her tone ranges from rich and soulful to clear and pristine. A versatile vocalist, she possesses outstanding control of her instrument. Meghan has performed with the legendary Jon Hendricks, as well as other great jazz talents including bassist Rodney Whitaker and trombonist/composer Wycliffe Gordan.   

 

 

Guitar

Eric Klotz holds a bachelors and masters in music performance from Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he studied jazz with Glenn Ginn, a University of North Texas graduate, and Dan Phillips, a Berklee College of Music/Northwestern University
graduate. Eric has been privileged to perform in a variety of contexts such as rock coverbands, jazz/fusion groups, solo classical, and studio session work. He has also been fortunate to teach guitar as the Adjunct Guitar Instructor at innesota State University Moorhead, through various music stores, and currently maintains a private teaching studio. In addition to Rio Bamba, he currently leads his own group, the Eric Klotz Trio. www.ericklotz.org

Percussion

Darryl Warren has played wth many jazz and rock bands including The Buckinghams, Peter Cetera, Dennis Tufano, Tom Chapin and Livingston Taylor.

Aaron Horvath has been playing drums professionally for over twenty years, having played with Ernie Horvath, Harry Connick Jr. Big Band, Russell Malone, Nathan Wilkey , Regina Carter, Danny Spancer, Gary Schunk, Walter White, Ken
Kellet, Rick Margitza, Jimmy Damen, Mackinac Island Grand Hotel Orchestra,
John & Steve Kerris, Larry Nozero, Lenny Cappe, Don Swindell, Patty Richards, Don Mayberry, Dwaine Parham, Markus Belgrave, Chicago Horns, Billy Rose , Darrin de costa, Kevin de costa , David de costa, Jennine Miller, Vincent Shandor, Don de Marco, Glen Richko, Joey Duna, Nick Tounta Vincent Willus and more. Venues include Green Mill, Drake Hotel, Flame, Jilly's, Sopranos, Billys on Rush, Circa, Ritz Carlton, Pump Room, The Bulls, 1940 Chop House, Detroit Yacht Club, Ice House.

Bass

John Garvey founded Rio Bamba in 2005. He has played a wide variety of styles and worked with a wide variety of musicians from John Sinclair (MC5) to Jim Belushi. Venues include Park West, Ambassador East, Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, Chambers, Cuatro, Custer Street Fair, Joe's, and Katerinas.
